alot of good players there.. but my vote would have to go to Al MacInnis hands down. |

You would choose one player for your entire defensive lineup?
(there should be 6 total choices per vote) |

Well, I suppose so....considering some players might end up on more than one team...I guess it stands to reason that Al can be dresssed 6 times |

Hey colin, just a q. but can other teams ie florida or buffalo claim jbo or housley for their teams? Based on gmes played with them? The blues could make a pitch for macinnis too. any rules to this fntasy draft, if you will? |

Honestly, Im not sure. The "league" if you will, was brought up by the site admins. I would imagine that a player could be claimed by any team they have played for throughout their career...so some players may end up on a few rosters.
I will get you a more certain answer in a few minutes. |

Thanks friend! When the (frank) are the hbs bloggers getting on tgis haha!! Cmon engels!! Id say tho for macinnis, its tough best years with both teams. dvantage cgy cause he won the cup with us. jbo tho he has 3 seasons and howsley had most games with buff... id want to keep howsley over jbo if there was a choice |

So to answer your question a little better...I suppose what needs to be considered is the player's rating during their time spent with each team. In other words, someone like Gretzky has a higher rating while playing with EDM than he does for say the Blues...
So, while it seems as though some players may end up on a few different rosters, I get the feeling that the system they will use may alter their individual ratings depending on the year/team they were apart of....I think.
Hope that helps... |

That was kinda' hard actually. The 1st 2 were easy enough, Suter and MacInnis is a no brainer; comparable to Weber and Suter in the present day (although that is now over). A couple of really good shut down guys with Reggie (in his prime) &* McCrimmon. Reinhart was another solid puck mover. I'll get a lot of flak for this but I have a soft spot for Warrener but I would have liked a 7th D choice as there were certainly more solid options with Housley etc. |

Hey Collin, sorry to be off topic, but, do you have a Heat update on the way? I think they are a few days into camp now. |

Macoun, McCrimmon, and Reinhart all need more love. If Reggie and Dion get voted in over those guys I'm going to be sad. |

Goalies were definitely easier... I ended up choosing the best 6 players IMO, rather than trying to pick for roles. I think the best talent would figure out how to play together. |

Not off topic at all.
I essentially need to make sure this "team" is done so the site admins can get the "league" set up...so I will do centers tomorrow, right wingers thurs, left wingers friday which would conclude it...problem is I cant write two blogs at once...so perhaps I will include a Heat update somewhere in between. |

I'm shocked at how many votes reggie is getting... Not because he wasn't good. In his prime he was a premiere shut down guy... But on this list for me, he's maybe number 8 or 9... Right now he's almost tied with Housley. That's crazy to me. |
